Nebulus TX Scooter Review

Tiny Toy Reviewer #2 has decided that, at 5 years old, he is far too grown up for a 3 wheel scooter. So he emptied his piggy bank and bought himself the Nebulus TX Scooter, which was just £7.99 at Amazon.

What is good about the Nebulus TX scooter?

Since the Nebulus scooter is so cheap, I was a little dubious about how good the quality was going to be. But I was pleasantly surprised by the product.

At first, I did spend a few minutes puzzling over how to put it up and down but it is quite simple to do once you've done it a couple of times. Since my son likes to ride his scooter to school and then I have to carry it home (with a preschooler in tow), the fact that you can collapse the scooter down to make it easier to carry is a big plus. At the moment we have the handlebars on the scooter set at the lowest level, but as your child grows it is very straightforward to increase the height setting too.

My biggest concern was whether a cheap scooter could be a safe scooter. But this actually seems well put together. There are no wonky wheels or wobbly handlebars - the product seems extremely sturdy. So I've been able to breathe a big sigh of relief and let my son scoot around on this without any worries about his safety.

Any bad points?

At the end of the day, this is a very cheap product and if you examine the product very closely you can tell this in some areas. For example, the edges of the metal covering the back wheel of the scooter are very rough, although not sharp enough for you or your child to cut yourself on. I don't consider this to be a big problem. What matters to me is that my son has fun on it, the product is sturdy enough to be safe, and that the design is practical. In my opinion, the Nebulus TX scooter is all three of these things. And to be honest, Tiny Toy Reviewer #1 has been on his friends' scooters - some of which cost 3 times the price - and there really isn't a noticeable difference in how well made the products are.

Verdict

I am very pleased with this product. The Nebulus TX scooter is safe, sturdy, fun and great value for money. What more could you possibly want from a micro scooter?
